Walk for Life

This morning we (Kevin, Dylan, Myself, my Mother-in-Law Robin, Danielle and the three kids) hit the Walk for Life at church which benefits the Crisis Pregnancy Center. It was a two mile walk (2 laps around the church) and they had bounce houses and games set up for the kids as well. We had a really great time. Dylan was a really good boy and he LOVED the bounce houses, which I am now thankful for because he is taking a good nap! Lunch was provided by Ruby's which was awesome and they were donating all the profit to the cause. A big thanks to my Hubby for coming and helping me before he had to go to work. I was nervous because I needed to help Danielle watch my nephews and neice as well, and I had no idea as to how big or crowded it would be. It ended up totally fine, just the right size, and we felt very safe with all the kids there. The bounce houses never even got too busy so the kids could bounce as much as they wanted. It was a really fun day and I hope they raised lots of money for a great cause! Here are some pictures from this morning:

To shower or not to shower...

To the relief of all of you, this post is not about my personal hygiene, lol. It's about whether or not I should have a baby shower this time around. My sister offered to throw me one the other day and my initial thought was no because I know the "proper" etiquette is to only have a shower for your first child. However, I have also noticed that a lot of people have one for every pregnancy, especially if it's been awhile or the child is a different sex. When I first was thinking about it I was also thinking that I have almost everything I need, but then I was thinking that this baby will be born the opposite time of year from Dylan, plus there are things I wish I had with Dylan, or helpful items they have come out with since then. So, please, give me your opinion, what you would do, etc. Just for the heck of it, here is a picture from my shower with Dylan.

My Mom, Sister, Grandma, Great Aunt, and Myself...see I'm 28 weeks here, and I'm bigger now! sigh...

Double sickness and bathtime fun

The past week has been rough for Dylan (and us) because he has been sick....twice! Monday night he had a high fever but really no other symtoms, I kept him home from school the next day, but by Tuesday night he seemed better. Then Thursday night he started acting wierd again. Kev came home and said he was achy and feverish, so I thought that's what Dylan had. He was up at least every hour the whole night and at one point moved into our bed and then got sick in it. That is always a fun scramble in the middle of the night! He was down all day Friday but seemed fine today, just a little moody still. I don't know what is going on, it was very strange. Needless to say, sleep has been at a premium this week. Still, he is as cute as can be.... he likes taking bubble baths lately, here are some pics of him last night in the suds:

22 weeks

Just a quick post and my 22 weeks pictures. I can feel the baby move from the outside now, so Kev has actually gotten to feel him move a couple times already. This didn't happen until way later with Dylan. The movement is definitely the best part of being pregnant!
