We just got back from an awesome trip to the Santa Ynez area. We made the trip for my friend Lucia’s wedding, but we stayed an extra night so we got to see and do a lot of neat things in the area. Thanks to my sister and my MIL, Ethan stayed here and we got to enjoy some time with our oldest. And watching the other parents chase their 1 year olds around at the wedding made me very thankful for that.
This is at the Fox Sport’s Grill on the way there
The Famous Pea Soup Anderson’s was right across from our hotel, so we had dinner there. It was good and the atmosphere was super cute and old fashioned.
This is a picture of Kev and I before we went out to meet the bride and groom and party for drinks in Solvang
On Saturday morning we had breakfast in Solvang and snapped some pictures while we were waiting. Danish pancakes, YUMMMM!
This was a park we found in Solvang. It was seriously the coolest playground equipment I have ever seen.
After the park we went down to a pumpkin patch/ apple picking place. They had some seriously huge pumpkins there…
This was the biggest pumpkin I’ve ever seen in person
Pretty apple
We stopped and looked at the miniature horses, they were about the size of large dogs
Then we stopped at “Ostrichland”. After reading the instructions and warnings on feeding the ostriches and emu’s, I was the only one brave enough to do it.
The wedding took place at beautiful Gainey Winery in Santa Ynez
What a beautiful Bride! Thanks so much for including us in your special day Lucia and Patrick!
The oak trees were just amazing!
First Dance
Then it was time to boogie!!
Daddy’s turn!
My cute Mom and Dad :-)
On the way back to the desert we stopped at Bob’s Big Boy and told Dylan the story of how my Mom and Dad had met while working at a Bob’s 41 years ago, he was a cook and she was a waitress. So cute!
What an awesome trip! Couldn’t have asked for any better!
